Operation Christmas Child Drop Off – Week of 11/14

Shoeboxes can be brought to the church up the week of 11/14. We could also use helpers to come and build shoeboxes with supplies that we have on hand.

11/17: 5-7pm
11/18: 4-6pm
11/19: 10am-Noon
11/20: 1-3pm
11/21: 9-10am

The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts—filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

Here is more information on How to Pack a Shoebox from Samaritan’s Purse.

Childrens Ministry Update

Starting on Sunday September 11th, children from 3-years-old up to first grade will be in the daycare building for the entire duration of the service. Parents can drop off children when arriving at church and pick them up afterward. Childrens ministry for the nursery and second grade and up will continue in the main church building with no changes.

This will help us improve our use of space to better minister to our growing number of children.

New Bible School Class | Sept 13th

Our next class at Harvest Bible Training Center begins Tuesday September 13th. It is entitled A Life Of Power. Here is the course description:

1 Corinthians 4:10 tells us that the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power. This course focuses on equipping the people of God to live in more than just knowledge and talk but to walk in power. We examine the existence and importance of power in the early church, in Jesus’s earthly walk, and in the days of the old covenant in order to inform and stir believers up to good works. Practical study into healings, miracles, and signs reveals how and why God did and desires to still do these things today through the hands of His children.

The class begins Tuesday September 13th and will run for 8 weeks on Tuesday nights. We will meet from 7:00-8:30pm in the fellowship hall. The cost is $30 for one person. $45 per couple. And for families it is +$5 for each additional member. As always, if the cost is a hurdle right now then just let us know.

If you have a medical concern or your schedule prohibits then you can take the class remotely in part or whole, please contact us for details. You can find the schedule and registration forms here.
